What There Is To Know

Because infrared sauna therapy heats the body directly rather than simply warming the air, it raises the core body temperature and produces a deep, detoxifying sweat at the cellular level, where most toxins reside. In addition, far infrared saunas aid in blood pressure reduction & weight loss, burning up to 600 calories in one session!

The infrared technology, we use in our saunas, is the only infrared sauna heater clinically shown to raise core temperature nearly 3 degrees. What does this mean for your health? You will experience the most detoxifying sweat, lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure and aid in weight loss through waistline reduction.

The infrared spectrum consists of near (NIR), mid (MIR), and far (FIR) waves, each with distinct characteristics and health benefits. Our full-spectrum infrared saunas offer all three peak wavelengths for the maximum therapeutic results.

Infrared Sauna Therapy has several benefits, including:

  • Detox: Sweating is the body’s safe and natural way to heal & stay healthy. Far infrared sauna use causes a rise in core temperature resulting in a deep, detoxifying sweat at the cellular level, where toxins reside.
  • Lower Blood Pressure: Infrared saunas induce a deep sweat to make the heart pump faster, which in turn increases blood flow, lowers blood pressure and helps circulation. Our infrared saunas are backed by clinical research that shows a reduction in systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Both are key factors in maintaining a healthy heart.
  • Anti-Aging: Near infrared saunas provide the most effective wavelength for healing the epidermis and dermis layers of the skin, stimulating collagen production to reduce wrinkles and improve overall skin tone.
  • Cell Health: Near infrared sauna therapy stimulates the circulatory system and more fully oxygenate the body’s cells. Better blood circulation means more toxins flow from the cellular level to the skin’s surface to improve cell health, aid in muscle recovery and strengthen the immune system.
  • Weight Loss: Studies have shown that a far infrared sauna therapy session can burn upwards of 600 calories while you relax! To enable infrared to penetrate tissues as deep as possible, we recommend wearing as little as possible. You are welcome to sauna bathe nude (each sauna is booked privately), or a cotton towel, gym shorts or swimsuit are perfect options.

One session will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. But similar to exercise, the more you do it, the better the results. Recommended use is 3-4 times per week for 30-40 minutes.

This is Personal.

WORTHY is a representation of my quest to be of service to my community, by creating a safe space for people from all walks of life to experience the healing that we are all worthy of. 

Shortly after my mother passed away, and with the help of some incredible mentors, doctors and therapists, I had the healing realization that I had lived a lifetime in a state of sympathetic hyperarousal, or perpetual “fight or flight”. Unaddressed trauma had lead me down a cycle of unmanageable stress.  My nervous system was in desperate need of regulation. I began to lean into the various modalities that I had already had in my tool kit as an athlete with greater frequency. Saunas, red light therapy, cold- plunging, breathwork, meditation, and lymphatic massage helped me heal my system so that I could put my best foot forward as a mother, sister, friend and entrepreneur, but most importantly for myself.  

Thanks to these transformative practices, I am able to down regulate my nervous system, and build stress-resilience adaptations. In essence, I’ve been able to raise my baseline so that when I am faced with stress, I am able to respond with abundance and calm. 

In recognizing my own struggles with stress and trauma, I began to  cultivate compassion for myself (an ongoing journey), and in doing so, I was able to recognize the same challenges in others.  

I began to question why it was so challenging for me and many in my community to gain access to these incredibly impactful modalities. Why are the impactful wellness services that changed my life so inaccessible?

Our ethos is rooted in our collective humanity and the undeniable fact that every human on this earth is born WORTHY of good health, ease of being, love, joy and simply feeling good.

 Our mission is to increase access to services like ours across the spectrum of our society. By doing so, I firmly believe that we can help uplift members of our community and society to a more just and equitable lived experience. 

We offer a sliding scale program in addition to our 501c3 nonprofit, WORTHY Wellness Initiative. Through our initiative, we provide folks who meet the income requirements, a free membership to be able to experience our services. So often, wellness spaces like ours are inaccessible to members of our society who need them the most. This inequality disproportionately affects marginalized communities such as people of color, immigrants, people with physical differences, and members of the LGBTQIA community. 

We are here to create a safe space and refuge for our guests through our shared and collective humanity.
